I love the fact that Keane plays mostly with a piano as the lead instrument, instead of a guitar. Their tracks have this characteristic sound, almost like a signature, and this one is no exception.
Week 32 of 2025
It is impossible to not want to dance to these synths. I got to see Depeche Mode playing live last year and this song was part of the encore — incredible energy!
This is one of my go-to summer songs. I can never get tired of that bass line and these vocals.
There is so much I enjoy about this song that it is hard to pick something to talk about. I'll go today with its use of stereo channels throughout the whole track, which is very satisfying, specially when listening with headphones.
I love the vocals in this song. I keep trying to remember when I first heard it, with no success.
When I got recommended this song for the first time in 2014, I immediately got transported to over 10 years in the past, to a time when I was as a kid in a car and this song played in the radio. I remember wanting to find it again, but I couldn't back then. It was a good reminder of how music transcends time and space.
The build up at the start hooked me up instantly.
I remember being a teen watching the this song's music video and being amazed by its psychedelic visuals. It was as if the video editor decided to use every single effect available in their editing software.
